Privacy

Your birth details are personal. At Bornimal, we collect only what we need to calculate and deliver your reading, and we never sell it.

What we collect

• Birth details: date, optional time, birthplace (city, coordinates, time zone) and an optional first name.
• Email: only if you buy the Full Reading, to send your receipt and reading link.
• Usage events: anonymous funnel steps (for example “opened the result”) with campaign tags. These never include your birth details.

How we use it

• To calculate your chart and show your result at a private link.
• To write your Full Reading. Your calculated chart (not your email) is sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, to generate the text.
• To process payment through Dodo Payments, our merchant of record, who handles your card details. We never see them.
• To email your reading via our email provider. We don’t send marketing emails unless you separately opt in.

Service providers

Hosting and database (our cloud providers), Dodo Payments (checkout and tax), Anthropic (report writing), an email delivery provider, and Open-Meteo (city search — only the text you type in the city box is sent).

Your private link

Your reading lives at a long, unguessable link. Anyone with the link can open it, so share the story card instead of the link. The story card contains no birth date, time or place.

Your Zoo and comparisons

Friends join through an invitation and agree to compare. Group Dynamics uses only active comparisons involving your reading. Friends see a first name, chart-derived element notes and roles; birth details, email addresses and private reading links stay private. Comparison links use separate participant tokens. Withdrawing a comparison removes it from your Zoo’s group choices and free-chapter progress.

If you choose a free chapter after three active comparisons, we store that chapter choice and the time it was opened. The choice stays with the reading if a comparison is later withdrawn. Free chapters use our writing library without sending your chart to an AI provider.

Retention and deletion

We keep readings for 24 months so you can come back to them, then delete them. Email support@example.com to delete your reading at any time, or to access or correct your data. We keep payment records as required by tax law.

Cookies

We don’t use advertising cookies. Essential storage only remembers campaign tags for your current visit.

Age

Purchases are for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
